With the rise of spring agricultural production across the country, Changchai’s production and sales ushered in a prosperous spring season. It was recently learned that during the peak production season, Changniu Machinery, as Changchai’s parts manufacturing base, closely focused on Changchai’s annual business objectives, fully utilized production resources, actively organized manufacturing, and made every effort to maximize capacity to meet the supporting and outsourcing demands of Changchai and external customers. After enduring the challenges of the Year of Gengzi, the company accelerated onto the fast track of peak-season production and sales. Building upon the production increase achieved in March, sales revenue in April recorded significant year-on-year growth.

On the afternoon of February 16, 2020, under the leadership of Cheng Yu, Secretary of the Benniu Town Party Committee, leaders from the town’s three major administrative groups, together with officials from the Party and Mass Work Department, Industry Department, Economic Development Department, Safety Supervision Department, and Trade Union, visited the company to conduct inspections and provide guidance on epidemic prevention and control as well as workplace safety following the resumption of operations. Accompanied by General Manager Sun Hao, the town leaders inspected the company’s security gate, epidemic prevention materials warehouse, cafeteria, isolation room, and workshop production sites. They also listened to General Manager Sun Hao’s report on the company’s implementation and execution of the “Four Measures in Place” for epidemic prevention and control, along with the safety production measures currently being carried out. The leaders inquired about employee attendance and the recovery of production capacity, and delivered relevant documents including the “Opinions of the Changzhou Municipal People’s Government on Supporting Enterprises in Resuming Production in Response to the COVID-19 Epidemic.” They stated that the government would fully support enterprises in resuming work and production and rapidly restoring capacity, provided that the “Four Measures in Place” were effectively implemented. The town leaders affirmed the company’s epidemic prevention measures and workplace safety practices, while also offering related requirements and recommendations. They provided preliminary responses to the company’s current production and operational difficulties, and repeatedly emphasized the importance of maintaining strict epidemic prevention and workplace safety measures even under urgent production demands, urging the company to remain vigilant at all times to ensure overall safety and stability.

On the afternoon of January 18, Changniu Machinery held its Economic Work Conference. The main task of the meeting was to review and summarize the company’s work in 2019, study and deploy the major tasks for 2020, and mobilize all cadres and employees to face the complex external environment under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Guided by the principles of “innovative management, cost reduction and expenditure control, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement,” the company aimed to strengthen internal capabilities and pursue practical work in order to achieve new economic breakthroughs amid challenges. The meeting also organized a safety knowledge examination and awards ceremony for advanced teams and outstanding winners. Cadres above team leader level and advanced workers attended the conference. Company leaders delivered speeches, and Chairman Wei Jinxiang gave important instructions.

In order to promote the company’s safety culture, popularize safety knowledge, actively carry out safety improvement activities, enhance employee awareness, and further strengthen the understanding of the importance of workplace safety among cadres and employees, the company’s labor union made overall arrangements and carefully organized a safety knowledge competition for personnel above team leader level at 1:00 p.m. on January 18, 2020.

On the morning of August 1, Shi Jianchun, Vice General Manager of the parent company Changchai Co., Ltd., Ni Mingliang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and He Jianjiang, Director of the Investment Development Department, braved the intense summer heat to visit the frontline production workshops of Changzhou Changniu Machinery Co., Ltd. They extended their care and support to employees who continued to work diligently under extreme temperatures and delivered heat-relief supplies on behalf of the parent company.

Life comes first, and safety is the foundation of development. In order to thoroughly implement the major decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council regarding workplace safety, further strengthen awareness of safety red lines, focus on problem-oriented management, improve the workplace safety responsibility system, implement emergency management mechanisms, enhance the ability to handle on-site safety emergencies, and improve employees’ safety awareness, emergency response, and self-rescue capabilities, the company organized an emergency rescue drill for the 4 and 5 t/h electric furnaces on the afternoon of July 5 under the leadership of the General Manager.

On February 19, the Party Committee and Government of Benniu Town, Xinbei District, Changzhou City, grandly convened the mobilization conference for the “Major Project Breakthrough Year” campaign. During the meeting, enterprises, organizations, and individuals that made outstanding contributions in 2018 were commended, and the major project construction work for 2019 was deployed. Changniu Machinery was awarded the title of “Outstanding Tax Contribution Enterprise of Benniu Town in 2018.” This marked the second consecutive year that the company received this honor.

As a new year begins and spring returns once again, Changniu Machinery Co., Ltd. bid farewell to the remarkable year of 2018 with the joy of a successful harvest and welcomed the brand-new year of 2019 with hope and enthusiasm. On February 11, the seventh day of the Lunar New Year and the company’s first working day after the holiday, Changniu Machinery officially entered the promising Year of the Pig.
