In order to vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship across society, and to further give full play to the backbone role of workers in the city’s modernization drive, the Changzhou Municipal Federation of Trade Unions decided to select a number of advanced collectives and individuals on the eve of the 2021 “May 1st” International Labor Day, awarding them the Changzhou May 1st Labor Award and the Changzhou Worker Pioneer designation respectively. On April 26, 2021, Changzhou held a celebration meeting for the “May 1st” International Labor Day. At the meeting, the selected municipal May 1st Labor Medals (and Awards), Worker Pioneer posts, and Top 10 Civilized Workers were commended. Comrade Chen Baohui from Changniu Machinery was awarded the 2021 Changzhou May 1st Labor Medal and was recognized at the meeting.
Chen Baohui joined Changniu Machinery in October 2001 and has been engaged in casting molding work ever since. He is diligent, dedicated, and strictly self-disciplined, consistently exceeding monthly production targets. In 2012, Changniu Machinery upgraded its casting workshop by introducing a Japanese automated molding line, which requires high technical operation skills. Through continuous learning, Chen Baohui quickly mastered the operation of the new equipment. He is currently the team leader of the horizontal molding group in the casting workshop. As the horizontal molding line is a core production system in the foundry, he has developed an effective equipment maintenance method through practice, significantly reducing equipment downtime.
In terms of quality control, Chen Baohui understands that equipment performance directly affects product quality. In daily work, he integrates equipment characteristics with process requirements, providing valuable input for product design to technical staff and repeatedly solving quality problems independently.
Over the years, Chen Baohui has remained dedicated to continuous technical improvement and skill enhancement in his position. He has led his team to quietly contribute to the enterprise in ordinary yet essential roles and has been repeatedly honored as an advanced worker and production model within the company, making important contributions to the development of Changniu Machinery.
