In order to effectively unite grassroots development efforts and continuously deepen the village-enterprise co-construction model of “Party building leadership, joint development, win-win cooperation, and co-organized activities,” the Party branch of Changniu Machinery and the Party General Branch of Nanguan Village Committee in Benniu Town, taking the opportunity of the convening of the “National Ecological Environmental Protection Conference” and the first “National Ecological Day,” actively responded to the call of the General Secretary that “the whole Party and society should maintain and strengthen ecological civilization construction and be active disseminators and model practitioners of the concept that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.” Starting from improving regional ecological civilization and jointly building a better homeland, they jointly organized a Party-building learning activity themed “Practicing the Two Mountains Theory, Building a Better Homeland.”
All participating Party members, with admiration, visited Yucun Village in Anji, Zhejiang Province—the birthplace of the “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” (“Two Mountains”) concept. In late summer, Yucun is surrounded by green mountains and clear waters. Along the Two Mountains Avenue, one side shows lush mountains and clear waters, while the other displays the features of a new countryside. At the village entrance stands a tall stone monument engraved with the striking red characters “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,” recording the story of the birth of this concept. Relying on its excellent natural environment, Yucun has implemented the “Two Mountains” concept, promoted high-quality green rural revitalization, and achieved remarkable results in coordinated economic and ecological development. This allowed all Party members to broaden their horizons, change their perspectives, innovate their thinking, and gain new insights.
Returning from Yucun, everyone was deeply moved and felt an even greater sense of responsibility and mission. Looking back, over the past five years, with the support, guidance, and assistance of Nanguan Village Committee, Changniu Machinery has proactively increased internal standards and continuously benchmarked environmental regulations and rectification requirements. The company has invested a cumulative total of more than 10 million yuan in environmental improvement. From optimizing, improving, and strictly implementing environmental management systems (software), to upgrading, improving, and adding environmental protection facilities (hardware), the overall environment of the company and the working environment of employees have been significantly improved. The former issues of dirt, disorder, and poor conditions have been fundamentally eliminated, and environmental protection work has gradually entered a virtuous cycle of continuous improvement. Together with Nanguan Village Committee, the company has worked side by side to contribute to regional ecological civilization construction and demonstrate its social responsibility. Looking ahead, Changniu Machinery will continue to strengthen itself, make steady progress step by step, vigorously promote and practice the “Two Mountains” concept, maintain and continuously improve environmental protection work, and be guided by the new development philosophy to achieve a high-quality development path that balances ecological civilization and economic development.
Learning from others’ strengths can make up for one’s own shortcomings. The “Two Mountains” concept will be deeply rooted in our hearts. Changniu Machinery and Nanguan Village Committee will continue to strengthen Party-building leadership, deepen joint development, focus on improving living environments, enhance the awareness of building a shared home, and foster enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and development, thereby promoting the construction of a beautiful countryside and further improving regional living environments to a higher level.
