On the afternoon of August 2, the company held its 2024 semi-annual economic work conference. The theme of the meeting was: conveying the spirit of Changchai Co., Ltd.’s 2024 semi-annual economic work conference, comprehensively analyzing and reviewing the company’s work in the first half of the year, focusing on the annual business objectives and tasks set by Changchai Group, and, in light of the current situation, deploying key work for the second half of the year. The meeting further mobilized all cadres and employees to deeply study the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, unify thinking, work together, innovate, and take responsibility, striving to promote the sustained and healthy development of Changniu Machinery. Chairman Wang Jing and General Manager Sun Hao, along with other leaders, all team leaders and above, and some key staff attended the meeting. According to the meeting agenda, Party Secretary and General Manager Sun Hao first delivered the semi-annual economic work report. General Manager Sun Hao conveyed the spirit of Changchai Group’s semi-annual economic work conference, with a focus on General Manager Xie Guozhong’s report themed “Embracing Change · Gathering Strength · Daring to Act.” He then analyzed the completion of key performance indicators and overall operations in the first half of the year, summarized major work achievements, identified existing problems, challenges, and pressures, and set objectives and work plans for the second half of the year. He also emphasized requirements regarding recent heatstroke prevention, fire safety, and safety management during shutdown maintenance projects.

Subsequently, members of the management team reported on existing issues in their respective areas and key work plans for the second half of the year. Vice General Manager Yang Yuhong, under the theme “Improving Management, Focus on Implementation,” analyzed existing issues in production and safety/environmental protection, and arranged key tasks for the second half of the year, with a focus on advancing cleaner production mandatory audit work to ensure successful completion on the first attempt.
Deputy Party Secretary and Vice General Manager Wang Wenxing proposed improving procurement quality and reducing procurement costs as key objectives, and emphasized expanding outsourced processing business through maintaining existing customers and developing new ones.
General Manager Assistant Yan Dongliang analyzed the completion of quality indicators in the first half of the year and key technical quality management work, identified existing problems, and deployed the technical and quality work plan for the second half of the year.
Vice General Manager Mi Wenzhong reported on equipment-related work, including technical upgrades, energy management, equipment maintenance, safety, and environmental protection. He analyzed shortcomings in equipment management and proposed the work plan for the second half of the year.
Vice General Manager Wan Jianhua introduced the company’s current main assets, liabilities, and key tasks, summarized financial issues, and reported the financial work plan for the second half of the year.
Chairman Wang Jing delivered an important speech. He first affirmed the management team’s clear understanding of the current situation and planning for the second half of the year. He put forward four requirements for achieving annual targets and future development: 1. Maintain advantages, prioritize stability, and remain cautiously optimistic; strengthen strengths and develop toward specialization, refinement, and differentiation. 2. Leverage strengths and avoid weaknesses; optimize product mix and ensure supply; focus on cost reduction and efficiency improvement; expand outsourced and other business areas; streamline positions and reduce costs. 3. Strengthen both Party building and business operations; give full play to Party members’ exemplary role in production, safety, and environmental protection, and strengthen employee supervision. 4. Continue talent development efforts; strengthen cultivation of all levels of talent and encourage innovation to achieve annual targets.
