— Changniu Machinery Successfully Concludes the 2019 Economic Work Conference
On the afternoon of January 20, 2019, Changzhou Changniu Machinery Co., Ltd. held its 2019 Economic Work Conference at the Nanguan Village Committee Conference Hall in Benniu Town. The main purpose of the conference was to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, review and summarize Changniu Machinery’s work in 2018, study and deploy key tasks for 2019, and mobilize all cadres and employees of the company. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up, the company called on all staff to further emancipate their minds, strengthen confidence, maintain an energetic spirit, and pursue innovative management, revenue growth and cost reduction, as well as quality and efficiency improvement, in order to create a new chapter of high-quality development for Changniu Machinery.
The company’s General Manager, representing the management team, delivered a work report titled “Innovative Management, Revenue Growth and Cost Reduction, Quality and Efficiency Improvement, Striving to Create a New Era of High-Quality Development for Changniu Machinery.” The company’s Chairman also delivered an important speech. During the conference, advanced teams and outstanding employees for 2018 were commended, and an award ceremony was held.
In 2018, despite challenges such as the continued downturn of the agricultural machinery market, increasing fluctuations in raw material prices, and mounting pressure from workplace safety and environmental protection requirements, all cadres and employees of Changniu Machinery conscientiously implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Focusing on the company’s annual objectives, the company seized opportunities, faced challenges directly, strengthened management, and actively carried out various production and operational activities. By overcoming numerous unfavorable factors, the company achieved strong operating results in recent years, with continued growth in profit from its core business and continuous improvement in economic indicators.
In 2018, sales revenue increased by 35%, including a 15.89% increase in external business sales revenue. Profit from the company’s core business increased by 27%, while total profits and taxes increased by 174%. These achievements demonstrated that Changniu Machinery had successfully emerged from its operational downturn and entered a positive cycle of sustainable development.
During the conference, while affirming the achievements made in 2018, the Chairman also pointed out existing problems and shortcomings and put forward specific requirements for the company’s work in 2019:
First, the company must increase revenue by fully leveraging Changniu Machinery’s advantages in casting to actively expand external casting business while also developing machining business opportunities.
Second, the company must reduce costs by learning more, strengthening communication, innovating management practices, and adopting multiple approaches to cost reduction and expenditure control.
Third, the company must improve quality. Quality was described as “gold bricks and gold mines,” and there remained significant room for quality improvement at Changniu Machinery. The company was encouraged to establish projects, define objectives, and adopt multiple measures to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
Fourth, the company must strengthen the construction of its management team. All cadres were required to maintain an overall perspective, clearly recognize the current situation, avoid complaints and discouragement, unite together, and focus on carrying out all work thoroughly and effectively around the company’s objectives.
The conference also reviewed and approved Changniu Machinery’s 2019 operational policies and objectives.
As 2019 marked a crucial year in the effort to achieve the goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, Changniu Machinery faced both difficulties and challenges, while also embracing new opportunities and hopes. All cadres and employees of Changniu Machinery will earnestly implement the spirit of this conference and, in accordance with the company’s annual objectives, take innovative management, revenue growth and cost reduction, and quality and efficiency improvement as the main direction of work.
