On January 17–18, 2019, Changzhou Changniu Machinery Co., Ltd. underwent its first surveillance audit following certification of the IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management System. The audit team from Jiangsu AIA International Standard Certification Co., Ltd. conducted a two-day on-site audit covering the company’s customer-oriented processes, support processes, management processes, and their respective sub-processes.
The audit team unanimously concluded that the operation of Changzhou Changniu Machinery Co., Ltd.’s IATF 16949:2016 management system had received strong attention and active promotion from company leadership, along with sufficient resource support. Managers across all departments were able to apply process-based approaches in carrying out various management activities and effectively maintain the documented management system. The management system was found to be continuously effective and compliant with the requirements of the IATF 16949:2016 standard.
At the same time, the audit team praised the company for successfully identifying the integration points between the IATF 16949:2016 standard and the company’s actual operating conditions and for implementing the standard conscientiously and effectively. However, the audit team also provided valuable recommendations for further improving the operation of the company’s management system.
This external system audit not only demonstrated the achievements of Changniu Machinery’s quality management efforts over the past year, but also served as an important opportunity for managers at all levels to learn and improve. The General Manager required all departments to address non-conformities identified during the audit by drawing inferences from each issue, further improving the management system, and comprehensively enhancing the company’s overall management standards.
