On January 23, Changzhou Changniu Machinery Co., Ltd. held its 2022 Economic Work Conference and 2021 Annual Advanced Commendation Meeting. The main tasks of this conference were to adhere to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as guidance, thoroughly implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and subsequent plenary sessions, practice the new development philosophy, review and summarize Changniu Machinery’s work in 2021, study and deploy key tasks for 2022, and mobilize all cadres and employees to face a complex external environment with unity, determination, and pragmatic action—working hard, overcoming difficulties, and forging ahead to write a new chapter of high-quality development for Changniu Machinery.
Company leaders, all cadres above team leader level, representatives of the labor union, selected backbone employees, and representatives of advanced collectives and individuals attended the meeting. At the conference, Chairman Liu Xiaoyun delivered an important speech. General Manager Sun Hao presented a thematic work report titled “Unite Wisdom and Strength, Forge Ahead with Determination, and Strive to Write a New Chapter of High-Quality Development for Changniu Machinery.” Leaders in charge and heads of various departments also delivered speeches. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Party Branch Secretary Wang Wenxing.
General Manager Sun Hao Delivered the Work Report
In his report, General Manager Sun Hao reviewed and summarized the company’s operating performance in 2021, analyzed existing problems, difficulties, and pressures, and announced the company’s business objectives and key tasks for 2022. The report pointed out that 2021 marked the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan. Facing a complex external environment and significantly different demand conditions from Changchai Group in the first and second halves of the year, all cadres and employees of Changniu Machinery closely focused on the annual business objectives, guided by “innovative management, quality and efficiency improvement, and full effort in supply assurance,” overcame the continuous impact of COVID-19, recognized the situation, seized opportunities, and actively carried out production and operations. The company fully guaranteed supply requirements for the parent company and successfully completed all performance indicators, achieving solid business results. In 2021, the company’s total output value increased by 9.68%, sales revenue increased by 9.81%, and total profit saw significant growth. The company was recognized as an “Advanced Collective of 2021” by Changchai Group.
The report further noted that although Changniu Machinery made progress and achieved certain results in 2021 through the joint efforts of all employees, many problems, difficulties, and pressures still remain. The year 2022 marks the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, an important year for implementing the 14th Five-Year Plan, and a key year in the new journey of high-quality development for Changniu Machinery. Facing a complex internal and external environment, all cadres and employees must unite their wisdom and strength, work diligently, overcome challenges, and move forward with determination, focusing on seven key areas of work.
At the meeting, Deputy Party Secretary Wang Wenxing read out the “Decision on Commending Advanced Teams and Advanced Production (Work) Individuals of 2021,” honoring 2 advanced teams, 2 company-level model employees, and 22 advanced production (work) individuals. He called on all teams and employees to learn from advanced role models, strive to become advanced, and surpass excellence, working hard in the new year to achieve the company’s annual objectives. An award ceremony was also held.

Chairman Liu Xiaoyun Delivered an Important Speech
Finally, Chairman Liu Xiaoyun delivered an important speech. He first affirmed Changniu Machinery’s operating achievements in 2021 and congratulated the company and all advanced collectives and individuals, emphasizing that these honors were the result of the collective efforts of all employees. Facing a complex internal and external environment and downward pressure from the traditional power industry, in order to maintain current performance, the company must focus on both revenue growth and cost control.
For revenue growth, first, the company must safeguard existing business by actively communicating and coordinating with the parent company to ensure the effectiveness of inventory products; second, it must actively expand external business. For cost reduction, first, attention should be paid to daily consumption, reanalyzing routine expenses to identify improvement opportunities; second, continue to implement refined “Amoeba” management and encourage all departments and business units to reduce costs; third, strengthen control over controllable expenses; and fourth, closely monitor the input-output efficiency of technological transformation projects. Chairman Liu emphasized that all cadres must unite as one, align thoughts and actions, and work together toward the company’s annual objectives.
Deputy Party Secretary Wang Wenxing also made a mobilization speech on implementing the spirit of the conference. He requested that participants first deeply understand the meeting’s spirit and promptly communicate and implement the company’s decisions across all employees to further unify thinking, strengthen confidence, and clarify goals and tasks for the new year. Second, all leaders and departments should break down key tasks for 2022, clarify measures, assign responsibilities, and ensure implementation. Third, preparations for the Spring Festival period must be well organized, especially workplace safety production, ensuring employees enjoy a safe and peaceful holiday.
