The company held its 2023 Semi-Annual Economic Work Conference on the morning of July 29. The theme of the meeting was to comprehensively analyze and review all work in the first half of the year, assess the current situation, and deploy key tasks for the second half of the year. The meeting further mobilized all cadres and employees to shoulder new missions in the new era, overcome difficulties, work hard with practical responsibility, and contribute fully to achieving a new leap in the development of Changniu Machinery in the new era. Chairman Sun Jianzhong, General Manager Sun Hao, and other company leaders attended the meeting, along with all supervisors at and above team leader level and some key staff members. The meeting was chaired by Party Branch Deputy Secretary and Deputy General Manager Wang Wenxing.

According to the meeting agenda, General Manager and Party Branch Secretary Sun Hao first delivered the semi-annual economic work report. He conveyed the spirit of Changchai Group’s semi-annual economic work conference, with emphasis on the Group General Manager Xie Guozhong’s requirement: “Do the right things, do things right, and do things well.” He then analyzed the completion of major indicators and overall operations in the first half of the year, summarized key achievements, identified existing problems, challenges, and pressures, and outlined key work arrangements for the second half of the year as well as plans, visions, and goals for the next three years.

Subsequently, members of the management team reported on issues within their respective areas and key tasks for the second half of the year. Deputy General Manager Mi Wenhong reported on equipment maintenance, special equipment safety management, energy conservation and emission reduction, and technical transformation. Deputy General Manager Wan Jianhua introduced the company’s main assets and liabilities and summarized financial issues while reporting financial plans for the second half of the year. Deputy General Manager Wang Wenxing highlighted issues in procurement and external business, and outlined plans including system improvement, cost reduction, inventory optimization, and market expansion. Deputy General Manager Yang Yuhong analyzed issues in production, safety, and environmental protection from the perspectives of situation awareness, positioning, target clarification, implementation, and accountability, and deployed key tasks for the second half of the year. Technical Quality Director Assistant Manager Yan Dongliang analyzed existing problems in technology and quality management, and reported plans including clarifying process requirements, promoting data digitization, summarizing QC achievements, encouraging employee participation in problem identification, and steadily advancing quality system work.

He first affirmed the work and achievements of Changniu Machinery in the first half of the year and expressed gratitude for employees’ hard work. He then compared Changchai’s domestic and export sales data, engine installation data, and Changniu’s production data to present the group’s overall performance and conveyed the spirit of Changchai’s semi-annual economic work conference. Finally, he proposed three key requirements for the second half of the year: first, focus on sustainable development by optimizing product structure, reducing inventory backlog, and improving cash flow; second, launch a quality improvement campaign across all employees, identify weak points in quality management, insist on continuous improvement, and strengthen key processes; third, consolidate fundamentals, improve management efficiency, maintain strict safety and environmental protection standards, and strengthen cybersecurity.

Finally, Deputy General Manager Wang Wenxing requested that the meeting spirit be thoroughly conveyed and implemented, emphasizing four aspects: improving awareness and unifying thinking, strengthening responsibility and implementation, clarifying tasks and focusing on priorities, and encouraging breakthroughs and accelerating progress.
