Sand core quality improvement special meeting — strengthening collaboration and joint progress to forge excellent quality
On August 8, 2025, Changniu Machinery Co., Ltd. organized a special meeting on sand core supplier quality improvement. The meeting was attended by the company’s general manager, representatives from the Technical Quality Department, Production Department, and Foundry Branch, as well as heads and management personnel from various sand core suppliers. The meeting focused on an in-depth analysis of current sand core quality issues and clarified improvement requirements.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Technical Quality Department reported various sand core issues feedback from on-site production between January and July 2025, mainly including excessive flash, burrs, breakage, incomplete shooting (insufficient filling), and weak bonding. In response to these issues, Changniu Machinery put forward relevant requirements, and all sand core suppliers also committed to submitting corrective and improvement measures targeting these problems.
In his concluding remarks, General Manager Sun Hao emphasized: sand cores are the “bones” of castings, and their quality directly determines our market competitiveness. This meeting is not merely about correcting problems, but about building a synchronized and collaborative supply ecosystem.
