On the afternoon of July 30, the company held the economic work meeting for the first half of 2026. The theme of the meeting was to convey the spirit of the headquarters' economic work meeting, summarise the company's performance in the first half of the year, identify existing problems and shortcomings, and plan key tasks for the second half. According to the meeting agenda, former general manager Sun Hao presented the economic work report for the first half of 2026 on behalf of the previous management team, giving a comprehensive review and summary of the company's work in the first half and setting goals and key tasks for the second half. Deputy general manager Yang Yuhong summarised the production, safety, environmental protection and technical quality work from the first half and outlined plans for the second half.

The meeting pointed out that in the first half of the year, the company seized the favourable opportunity of strong growth in the domestic and international markets for single-cylinder diesel engines and high company demand. All staff worked together and tackled challenges, achieving notable business results: first, both production and sales grew, with core indicators more than half achieved; second, the daily output of single-cylinder diesel engine bodies reached new highs, fully meeting the company's support needs; third, cost reduction and efficiency improvements delivered significant results, greatly boosting performance; fourth, the company continuously expanded new business and outsourced work steadily grew; fifth, technical reform projects progressed orderly, with safety and environmental protection remaining stable; sixth, the Party's work received district-level recognition and group activities were carried out in an organised manner.

The meeting emphasised that in the face of new situations and challenges, the focus in the second half of the year should be on four areas: first, stabilising production and supply while expanding the market. In the third quarter, increase reasonable stock of small varieties, optimise inventory structure, and in the fourth quarter, ensure supply; external business should focus on key issues, important clients and key products, maintaining old clients and attracting new ones; further expand the export of key single-cylinder components and the mass production and sales of new varieties. Second, focus on improving product yield and developing new products. Continue improvements, with the yield of key products steadily rising; comprehensively review and improve the quality control requirements for outsourced products; cooperate with the head office and outsourcing clients on new product development; fully advance the "self-process completion" and "3 1" quality projects. Third, advance the implementation of technology renovation projects and sustainable development. Complete final acceptance for projects like automatic body polishing lines, and orderly progress on casting post-processing projects; conduct feasibility research for intelligent casting management systems; analyse bottleneck processes in various production lines and develop renovation plans; complete the 2027 direct electricity procurement tender; set up special equipment management systems and implementation rules according to standards. Fourth, ensure compliant operation and continuous improvement. Conduct audits, ensure financial compliance, monitor fund recovery, and prevent financial risks; strengthen regular safety and environmental management, complete the "six standardisation" construction and "three-level safety standard" review, implement hazardous waste disposal management, and manage dust removal equipment properly.
At the meeting, General Manager Wei Jiming gave an important speech. He pointed out that the production and operation of Changchai's headquarters in the first half of the year was generally stable and better than expected, and Changniu Machinery also achieved growth in both production and sales. In the second half of the year, the company will focus on 'ensuring supply' and 'profitability', sticking to steady progress. Facing the cyclical and uncertain single-cylinder diesel engine market, the ageing workforce, and high turnover of new employees, managers at all levels should not 'wait, rely or demand', but solve problems themselves, actively cooperate with the management team, overcome difficulties, face challenges head-on, and do their best to achieve the annual targets.
Finally, Wang Wenxing, the deputy secretary of the party branch and deputy general manager, gave a pep talk, asking all departments and branches to promptly convey the spirit of this meeting, further unify thinking, strengthen responsibility, clarify work goals, carry out work creatively, strictly control inspections before shipment, tackle issues like large quality fluctuations and declining product yields, and strive to achieve this year's targets.
