On January 15, Changniu Machinery held the 2023 Economic Work Conference and the 2022 Annual Commendation Meeting for Advanced Collectives and Individuals. More than 80 participants attended the meeting, including company leaders, all supervisors and above, employee representatives, backbone staff, advanced collectives, and outstanding individuals.
At the meeting, Chairman Sun Jianzhong delivered an important speech. The General Manager and each responsible deputy general manager presented their 2022 annual work reports. The conference also commended the 2022 advanced collectives, company model employees, and outstanding production (work) employees. The meeting was presided over by Wang Wenxing, Deputy Party Branch Secretary of the company.
The main task of this meeting was: guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, review and summarize Changniu Machinery’s work in 2022, study and deploy key tasks for 2023, and mobilize all cadres and employees to take on new missions in the new era, overcome difficulties, strive with determination and pragmatic responsibility, and make full efforts to achieve a new leap in the high-quality development of Changniu Machinery.

In the meeting, General Manager Sun Hao presented a thematic report titled “Overcoming Difficulties with Determination and Pragmatic Responsibility to Achieve a New Leap in Changniu Machinery’s Development in the New Era.” The report comprehensively reviewed the company’s operating performance in 2022, analyzed existing problems, difficulties, and pressures, clarified the 2023 business objectives, and deployed key tasks for 2023. The report pointed out that 2023 is the first year of fully implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, an important year connecting the 14th Five-Year Plan, and a critical year for Changniu Machinery’s high-quality development. Facing a complex external environment and continued decline in the agricultural machinery market, all cadres and employees must adhere to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, embrace new missions in the new era, overcome difficulties, and work with determination and responsibility to achieve a new leap in development.
Each deputy general manager also delivered work reports. Deputy General Manager Mi Wenhong summarized the 2022 equipment and technical transformation work and proposed that in 2023, while ensuring production and technical transformation tasks, greater attention should be paid to equipment maintenance to ensure smooth production operations. Deputy General Manager Wan Jianhua reviewed the 2022 financial and enterprise management work, noting that despite the severe challenges brought by the pandemic and the sharp decline in the agricultural machinery market, the company overcame difficulties and moved forward under pressure. Deputy Party Secretary Wang Wenxing summarized production work in 2022, stating that the company closely followed the annual targets and ensured stable and orderly production. Assistant General Manager Yang Yuru summarized technical and quality work in 2022 and outlined the 2023 plan, emphasizing continuous improvement and striving for a new level in quality management. Assistant General Manager Yan Dongliang summarized the supply and marketing department’s 2022 work and presented the 2023 procurement and sales plan.
After the general manager’s report and departmental exchanges, Deputy Party Secretary Wang Wenxing read out the “Decision on Commending Advanced Collectives and Individuals of 2022.” The conference awarded the 2022 advanced collectives, company model employees, and outstanding production (work) employees.

Chairman Sun Jianzhong delivered an important speech at the meeting. He first introduced the overall performance and 2023 business targets of Changchai Co., Ltd. (the parent company), and then analyzed Changniu Machinery’s 2022 performance in the context of pandemic disruptions and rising raw material and electricity costs. He pointed out three main issues: (1) overcapacity of traditional products; (2) insufficient quality awareness; (3) room for improvement in on-site management and 5S implementation. He emphasized that in 2023, the company should establish measurable indicators in refined management, improve systems and assessments, fully utilize production capacity advantages, actively expand external business, and encourage every employee to contribute to business development.
